3 women sue OB/GYN for medical malpractice

Physicians in New Mexico who choose obstetrics and gynecology as a specialty typically understand that they must care for their primary patients and their unborn children before and during delivery. There are certain protocols in place to which physicians must adhere during the birthing process. When they are not followed, terrible circumstances can occur. Recently, three women have filed medical malpractice claims against one physician whose actions they feel caused the death of one baby and significant neurological damage to two others.

Medical malpractice lawsuit results in almost $15M verdict

Those who are sick or injured seek the assistance of medical professionals in times of their greatest need, and most doctors provide the utmost care for their patients. Yet thousands of individuals are injured or become even sicker due to the negligence of medical professionals each year. Those in New Mexico may be interested in a recent large settlement in a medical malpractice case.

Jury awards $9 million who lost legs due to hospital negligence

When serious complications arise from surgery, many who sue for malpractice focus on the physician who performed the procedure. However, there are times when the resulting problems lay not with the physician, but with the lack of medically necessary steps that a hospital neglects to take in order to resolve the patient's health problems. Those in New Mexico may be interested in a recent large settlement awarded to a man after a jury determined hospital negligence.

Doctor's medical malpractice includes making his own vaccines

For many people, home remedies are the first choice for common ailments. Additionally, people in New Mexico and elsewhere spend a small fortune on vitamins and supplements to enhance their health and stave off disease. However, when a person goes to the doctor for an illness or other complaint, he or she expects the treatment to be medically sound and governmentally approved. If it is not and the patient suffers because of the treatment, the doctor risks a medical malpractice claim.
