New Mexico Attorney
ABOUT
Sabrina Martinez is a native New Mexican who takes great pride in representing families that have been hurt by those in power. Sabrina’s journey started while she was working as a Bailiff at the Second Judicial Children’s Court. Sabrina witnessed first-hand how rare and difficult it was for families to fight for justice and take back their power. Often times the system is not set up to care for the victims and their families as they attempt to navigate through the complicated judicial system. Sabrina is fighting to change that.
After obtaining her Bachelor’s Degree in Criminal Justice, Sabrina worked as a Case Tracker for the Children’s Safe House who partners with law enforce agencies, the District Attorney’s Office, and New Mexico Children Youth & Families to conduct forensic interviews of children who have witnessed a violent crime or when allegations of abuse have been made. Sabrina worked closely with families, investigators, and the District Attorney’s Office in an effort to keep New Mexico families safe. It was at this time that she realized that she could make a larger impact as a lawyer and applied to Law School.
During law school, Sabrina had the privilege of clerking with the New Mexico Supreme Court where she was exposed to the importance of creating good law for the state of New Mexico. During the last two years of Law School, Sabrina was the Vice President for the Student Trial Lawyers Association. As a new lawyer she dedicates her time to the New Mexico Trial Lawyers Associations fight for equal rights for the underdogs against powerful interests that hurt New Mexicans.
Sabrina is married to her high school sweetheart and has two dogs at home that demand justice just as much as she does.
